Public Hearing Foreshore and Lake Zoning Bylaw Amendment April 30

Public Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Town of Osoyoos Council Chambers located at 8707 Main Street. Council will receive input on the Foreshore and Lake Zoning Bylaw Amendment described below, which received first and second readings on April 3rd, 2018. Notice is also given that a Special Open Meeting of Council will be held immediately after the Public Hearing if Council wishes to give the bylaw third reading.

Bylaw No. 1294.03, 2018
• Amend Schedule A: Foreshore and Lake Zoning Map as follows:  Extending the
  W4 - Commercial Moorage zone into the W1 Public Water Use as shown on the
  map;
• Add commercial Inflatable Waterpark as a permitted use in the W4-Commercial
  Moorage zone for the area shown on the map.

All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and/or present written submissions on the matter above. Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to info@osoyoos.ca (The Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda).  The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for these matters.  The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm (Noon) Friday, April 27, 2018.

Copies of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be reviewed by clicking on the link below or at the Planning and Development Services office, located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

Public Open House Inflatable Waterpark on December 6

Okanagan Wibit will be holding a Public Open House and all interested members of the public are invited to attend and provide feedback on the proposed establishment and location of an inflatable waterpark in Osoyoos.  Such waterparks comprise of modular structures for recreational water play.

Survey Results for Wibit Water Park Proposal

At the November 21, 2016 Regular Council Meeting, Council resolved to release the results of the Wibit Water Park Proposal Survey to the public and to proceed with a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the establishment of a Wibit Water Park at Legion Beach.  Details of the survey results are available in the following Council Report:

Wibit Water Park Proposal Survey Deadline October 28

The Town of Osoyoos invites the community to provide comments and feedback on the proposed establishment of a Wibit inflatable water park in Osoyoos. Such water parks comprise of modular structures for recreational water play.

All interested members of the public are invited to complete the survey via the following link:

Hard copies of the survey are also available at the Planning and Development Services Department located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm), Monday to Friday.
