The RDOS is currently in the process of updating its Solid Waste Management Plan to guide the development of future programs for reducing and managing waste. Updating the Solid Waste Management Plan on a regular basis is a provincial regulatory requirement. The overall purpose of the plan is to provide programs that will help us reduce waste, protect our environment and make the best use of our tax dollars.
