REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Gyro Park Lease Proposal

Pursuant to section 26 of the Community Charter, the Town of Osoyoos gives notice that it proposes to lease, for the period May 15, 2015 to September 30, 2015 with a possibility of two one year renewals, a portion of municipally-owned land at Gyro Beach in Osoyoos which is legally described as Parcel Identifier: 011-088-818, Plan 2450, Block 530, Lot 530, Land District 54, District Lot 2450s, as shown on the attached map.

The Town requests proposals to lease the land for non-motorized water-based activities requiring shoreline access.  Each proposal shall include the lease rate, intended use of the lands, any improvements that may be put upon the lands, specific dates that lands will be used, and a specified clean up date when the lands will be cleared.

  • Minimum lease rate of $3,000 for the term;
  • There will be no use of the property on July 1 to allow for fireworks set up;

This Request for Proposals is not an Invitation to Tender and no contract of any kind whatsoever is formed under or arises from this Request for Proposals.  Proposals will be considered on the basis of bid price, experience of the proponent, and nature of the use of the land.

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal the Town considers most favourable to the interests of the Town and the use of the land.   Under the Community Charter, the Town must not provide assistance to business and therefore fair market value for use of the land will play a key part in the decision when awarding the lease.

Proposals must be delivered to the Town on or before 2:00 pm Friday, November 28, 2014 in a sealed envelope clearly marked – Gyro Beach Lease Proposal to:
