The 2018 United Way Community Appreciation Celebration

If you have 30 discretionary hours annually and are looking for a practical way to get involved and contribute to your community’s safety and wellness, we are actively recruiting individuals that are interested in becoming volunteer facilitators in the Restorative Justice Program.

Restorative justice is a theory of justice that emphasizes repairing the harm caused by criminal behaviour. It is a process whereby all parties with a stake in a particular offence come together to resolve collectively how to deal with the aftermath of the offence and the implications for the future. This can lead to transformations of people, relationships and communities. Facilitator training will be taking place:

Date and Time:  Friday November 25, 2011       5:00pm-9:00pm
                      Saturday November 26, 2011  9:00am-3:00pm
Location:          Sonora Community Centre
Cost:               FREE

All participants will be required to complete a criminal record check. Space will be limited to 10 participants.
