Summer Student Employment

The Town of Osoyoos has the following summer student positions open within the Community Services (Recreation) and Operational Services (Public Works) Departments.   A student is defined as someone who is currently attending school, college or university and intends to return to school, college or university in the subsequent academic year.

Grounds Maintenance - Operational Services Department  THIS POSTING HAS CLOSED

Two (2) student positions available beginning May 12, 2014.  A valid British Columbia driver's license is a requirement.  Experience in the operations of powered yard maintenance equipment would be an asset.  This is a bargaining unit position with a present wage rate of $15.64 per hour plus 6% in lieu of benefits.  Deadline for resume submission is 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Summer Program Coordinator - Community Services Department THIS POSTING HAS CLOSED

An energetic individual is needed from June 2, 2014 - August 27, 2014.  Applicants should have previous experience working with children and a current First Aid Certificate.  Good organizational skills and training in High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development is an asset.  This is a bargaining unit position in conjunction with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada - "Canada Summer Jobs", with a present wage rate of $19.19 per hour plus 6% in lieu of benefits.  Deadline for resume submission is 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

Summer Recreation Leaders - Community Services Department THIS POSTING HAS CLOSED

Energetic, caring individuals needed from June 25, 2014 - August 22, 2014.  Applicants with previous experience working with children, a current First Aid Certificate, High Five training and Swimming/Lifeguarding are encouraged to apply.  This is a bargaining unit position in conjunction with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada - "Canada Summer Jobs", with a present wage rate of $15.64 per hour plus 6% in lieu of benefits.  Deadline for resume submission is 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
