On Saturday, June 2, 2012 the Osoyoos Desert Society will be hosting a FREE Xeriscape Workshop funded by the RBC Foundation (RBC Blue Water Project Community Action Grant).  Join local xeriscape expert Eva Durance for a practical, how-to workshop on designing a water-efficient garden.

Date:              Saturday June 2, 2012
Time:              9:30am-3:00pm
Location:        Sonora Community Centre
Cost:              FREE (advanced registration required)
Lunch:            Will be provided

  • Learn the essentials of xeriscape landscaping, gardening with drought-tolerant plants, and water-wise irrigation methods.
  • Discover design tips and techniques for creating a beautiful, easy-to-maintain landscape.
  • Develop a design plan for your own outdoor space. Bring a photo and/or drawing and brainstorm design ideas with Eva and fellow participants.

Eva’s native gardening book, Cultivating the Wild, will be available for purchase at the workshop.
