Business Plan
A business plan is a formal statement of a set of business goals, the reasons they are believed attainable, and the plan for reaching those goals. This report will be contain background information about how the Town of Osoyoos will be attempting to reach these goals.
Business plans are decision-making tools. There is no fixed content for a business plan. Rather, the content and format of the business plan is determined by the goals and residents. A business plan represents all aspects of business planning process declaring vision and strategy alongside sub-plans to cover marketing, finance, operations, human resources as well as a legal plan, when required. A business plan is a summary of those disciplinary plans.
A Business Plan is not presented by operational department or organizational chart. A Business Plan is formatted by “Key Result Areas” and illustrates that departments have responsibilities to achieve goals in a multitude of “key result areas”. The Business Plan is a “rolling” three year plan that is always current, approved by Council and assists in determining priority activity for budgeting.
