Community Sustainability Action Team (CSAT)
The QuickStart ICSP Community Sustainability Action Team (CSAT) was the "advisory committee" for this project, and its members represented the community's interest in the project. CSAT was responsible to review background information and public feedback while preparing the ICSP.
CSAT provided input to the consulting team (Whistler Centre) and Town Council on public engagement opportunities, assisted in the development of the community's vision (including descriptions of success), current reality and indicators, and developed recommended actions.
Town Council appointed the following members to CSAT at the December 6, 2010 Regular Open meeting:
- Holly Plante (resident);
- Janis St. Louis (resident);
- Len McLean (resident);
- Ken Favrholdt (Osoyoos Museum);
- Chris Scheuren (South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce);
- Mark Watt (Interior Health);
- Jo Knight (Destination Osoyoos);
- Don Brogan (Destination Osoyoos);
- two representatives from OSS Global Awareness Club;
- one representative from the Town of Osoyoos Recreation Commission Board;
- Jim Newman - Project Lead, Community Development Manager (staff);
- Alain Cunningham (staff);
- Councillor Chadsey; and
- Councillor Rhodes.
The duration of the committee was approximately (6) six months and commenced the second week of January 2011.
