DELEGATIONS
- Chris Moradian and Tyler Schmidt gave a power point presentation on proposed development plans for 4217 Lakeshore Drive
- Community Services Grants were awarded for 2016
BYLAWS
- Third reading given to Osoyoos Water District Rates and Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 1241.09, 2016 on April 4, 2016 was rescinded in order to change the bylaw from odd/even watering days to 3 days per week watering. This was due to concerns from residents that cannot program irrigation systems to water on odd/even days. The bylaw was read a third time as amended and will return to council on May 2 for final adoption.

- 5 Year Financial Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1317.01, 2016 was adopted
- Cemetery Bylaw No. 1319, 2016 was read a first, second and third time
- Osoyoos Tax Rates Bylaw No. 1320, 2016 was read a first, second and third time
BUSINESS
- Council authorized Municipal Ticket Amendment Bylaw No. 1279.09, 2016 to be forwarded to the Regular Open Meeting of May 2, 2016. This amendment will set fines for violating staged restrictions set under Osoyoos Water District Rates and Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 1241.09 and Water Conservation and Staged Restriction Amendment Bylaw No. 1273.01.
- Council approved the proposal for a Local Improvement – Municipal/Property Owner Cost Sharing Policy
REPORTS
- Congratulated the Fire Department on the Oyster Feed
- Rob Rausch was appointed the new Chair of Destination Osoyoos at their AGM
- Council is encouraging all residents to come out and support the Daffodil Dash on April 24th
- The Desert Park Joust is being held on May 21st and 22nd
- Thanks to Sgt. Randy Bosch, Inspector Hewco, Cpl Jason Bayda and Rick Dellabur for putting on the RCMP Open Forum
- At the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Oliver Fire Chief Dan Skaros and Director of Corporate Services Janette Van Vianen discussed response to the fires in Oliver and Osoyoos last year
- Earth Day is Friday

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
