BUSINESS
Declaration of Official Election Results for 2014 General Local Election, the Chief Election Officer declared:
- Elected Sue McKortoff, who received the highest number of valid votes for the office of Mayor of the Town of Osoyoos.
- Elected the following candidates, who received the highest number of valid votes for the office of Councillor for the Town of Osoyoos: RHODES, CJ YOUNGBERG, Carol CAMPOL, Mike KING, Jim
- Results by acclamation for Water Councillor – MOREIRA, Claude, RAI, Sarabjit
- Results for Assent Voting – the assent was received from the electors for Osoyoos Fire Hall Construction Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 1306, 2014 with the Yes receiving the highest number of valid votes.
BYLAWS
- Osoyoos Fire Hall Construction Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 1306, 2014 - Moved by Council resolved that as the Chief Election Officer has determined that the assent voting result to the question is “Yes”, that Osoyoos Fire Hall Construction Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 1306, 2014 is adopted.
REPORTS
Comments from retiring Council members:
- Councillor Ryan wished Mayor-elect McKortoff and newly-elected Council members all the very best. He looks forward to them bringing the Town along
- Councillor Plante stated that it is not the last time that he and Councillor Ryan will be seen in council chambers. He spoke to newly-elected Council members King and Youngberg and noted that he will be “pushing” from the other side of the table. He congratulated everyone.
- Mayor Wells congratulated the new Councillors and Mayor-elect McKortoff. He also congratulated the two water Councillors who were acclaimed. He stated that it was a pleasure and an honour to be Mayor of the Town and a part of the team of several great Councils.

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
