DELEGATIONS
- Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Awareness Campaign presented by Brigit Arnstein to bring attention to Osoyoos Lake.
BYLAWS
- Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 1313, 2015 was adopted.
BUSINESS
- Fire Protection Agreement – Council approved signing of contract modification agreement for Osoyoos Indian Band and Town of Osoyoos to extend agreement to December 31, 2020.
- Reallocation of Approved Capital Budget Item - Council approved $5,000 capital project change from purchasing small crane to purchasing a power tailgate.
- South Okanagan Protected Area – Council approved letter being sent as input to the Intentions Paper – Protected Areas Framework for BC South Okanagan. Council also supported the development of the National Park in the area.
REPORTS
Councils’ Reports
- Small Business Week from October 19 – 23. The Town will be partnering with Destination Osoyoos and South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce to walk through the Downtown area asking questions regarding challenges to businesses.
- Parks and Recreation Master Plan Charrette was held on October 14. Council is requesting the public to engagement by filling out the online survey by November 1.
- Water Science Forum held October 7-9 was a success.
- Waste Reduction Week is from October 19 – 25.
- Soroptimist Breakfast and Fashion Show will take place on November 7 at Watermark Beach Resort.

The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
