Committee of the Whole
There was no Committee of the Whole meeting.
Regular Open Council (2:00 pm – Council Chambers)
Due to unforeseen technical issues the Regular Open meeting was not webcast.
BYLAWS
- Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw 1307, 2014 given first three readings.
- Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.92, 2014 for Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad at 1161 – 115th Street was adopted.
- Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.90, 2014 for “Business Friendly” Amendments to Commercial Off-Street Parking Regulations further amended by replacing Section 6.7(1) to state: “…pay to the Town the sum of $3,000 (three thousand dollars) for each parking space required but not provided.” Read a first and second time as amended and a public hearing set for October 20, 2014.
- Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.91, 2014 Amendments to Multi-Family R7+ Residential Zone read a first and second time and a public hearing set for October 20, 2014.
- Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.92, 2014 Renumbering of Zoning Amendment Bylaw Provisions for Medical Marihuana Grow Operations (MMGOs), read a first and second time and a public hearing set for October 20, 2014.
BUSINESS
- Pay It Forward Community Initiative - Council rescinded Motion 274/14. Council approved sponsoring the “2014 Pay It Forward Community Initiative” at a bronze level of $880.00 plus taxes.
REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Mayor Wells and CAO Romanko will be attending UBCM Convention the week of September 22.
Copies of reports are available within the Council Agenda packages located on the Town’s website.
The public is encouraged to attend the Committee of the Whole meetings which take place in Council Chambers at 9:00AM on the morning of the Regular Open Council meetings at 2:00 PM to learn additional in-depth information regarding upcoming business.
