EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Bylaw Enforcement Officer Open Until Filled

The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos, BC, located in the beautiful South Okanagan Valley, is accepting applications for the position of Bylaw Enforcement Officer.

Position Information

The Town of Osoyoos is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Bylaw Enforcement Officer from June 1 - Labour Day. This position performs inspectional, regulatory, and investigational work involving the enforcement of Town Bylaws.

The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in communication, leadership, and conflict resolution with experience and the ability to diffuse hostility in an effective manner. You will have the ability to work both independently and interdependently while exercising sound judgement and initiative. Proven experience, thorough knowledge, and the ability to demonstrate the principles, methods, and equipment used in the capture, care, and handling and safe transport of injured, vicious, or stray animals.

Level 1 Bylaw Compliance, Enforcement, and Investigative Skills Certificate and Certificate in Animal Control Basic training along with a valid British Columbia driver's license are required. This position will be required to work shift work as well as work weekends and statutory holidays. This is an exempt position with a wage rate of $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
