EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Senior Accounting Clerk Deadline April 10

The Town of Osoyoos is currently seeking a qualified person for a full time Senior Accounting Clerk in the Financial Services Department.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, this full time position will provide senior level accounting functions, responsible for administration and operation of the tax, utility, financial software administration, payroll and benefit functions.  This position also provides customer service functions related to town services and programs.  Included in this position is assisting the Director with the annual Tangible Asset Reporting, and preparing of budget schedules as well as drafting financial bylaws and policies.

This position requires someone who possesses excellent skills in communication and leadership and the ability to deal tactfully and confidentially in collection matters.

Second level CGA/CMA program (2 year) or better is required along with 5 years of office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a CUPE Local 608 Union position with the rate of pay being $29.90 - $35.17 per hour along with benefits.

Must be able to pass and maintain an RCMP information check.
