The Town of Osoyoos and Osoyoos Rural Fire Protection District is served by a volunteer "on call" Fire Department of 30 trained members. The Fire Department conducts weekly practices, and participates in numerous training workshops, exercises, and courses annually.
A full range of fire protection services is provided by the Department, including:
- Fire suppression
- Fire investigation
- Fire safety inspections
- Bylaw enforcement as it relates to fire protection
- Rescue services
- Public education

The Osoyoos Fire Department is located at 9901 74th Avenue. Incidents are dispatched through a regional 911 system.
The Department's fire fighting apparatus includes:
- Volvo Pumper, 1050 Gal. Per Minute
- International Pumper, 625 Gal. Per Minute
- Truck with Water Tank
- Fire Rescue Truck
