The Town of Osoyoos requires a temporary Full Time Program Supervisor in the Community Services Department for a period of one year from January 2013 to January 2014. This is a full time position at 35 hours per week with the hours being set by the Director of Community Services.
The Community Services Program Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Community Programmers, Program Assistants and Summer Students and performs a variety of functions, including planning and organizing effective delivery of recreation, social, environmental and general program opportunities; promoting and marketing programs and services through media and leisure guides; assisting in preparing annual budgets, prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, draft policies and statistics related to community services; networks with groups and agencies involved in the community services field; and ensures an effective booking system for all facilities and playing fields under the jurisdiction of the department. The position is familiar with established procedures, policies and safety standards and ensures expectations are met in this regard.
This is a bargaining unit position, and the 2013 hourly job rate for this position is $28.60 to $29.60 per hour. A more detailed job description including required qualifications can be viewed by clicking on this link.
