Map your Tap Challenge!
The Okanagan Water Board is pleased to announce the 4th annual Okanagan WaterWise Challenge for youth! The theme this year is “MAP YOUR TAP!” The timeline is shorter this year with entries due by April 25!
The contest is open to CLASS and INDIVIDUAL entries. We are inviting Okanagan youth – from Kindergarten to Grade 12 – to submit multi-media entries. The intent is to try and get kids to connect to the water coming out of their taps and the area where it originates and the need to protect these areas. (Visit www.mapyourtap.ca. to find out where your water comes from.) We are also looking to have them tell us why clean water is important to them, and what we can all do to help protect and conserve it!
Once again, we have amazing prizes, including pizza parties and passes to some of the Okanagan’s coolest pools, as well as a 2-hour boat charter on Okanagan Lake for a private class lesson on Okanagan water, courtesy of Okanagan Science Centre!
Full contest details at: www.okwaterwise.ca.
