Mayor McKortoff has proclaimed October 18 to 24, 2021 as Waste Reduction Week in Osoyoos.
As a municipality, we are committed to conserving resources, protecting the environment and educating the community. We recognize the generation of solid waste and the needless waste of water and energy resources as global environmental problems and endeavor to take the lead in our community toward environmental sustainability.
Communities, businesses and organizations across Canada have committed to working together to raise awareness of these issues during Waste Reduction Week in Canada, and the Town of Osoyoos encourages you to do the same!
