NEW BYLAWS - Good Neighbour & Parks and Community Facilities

Council will be considering giving second and third readings to Good Neighbour Bylaw No. 1277, 2011, and Parks and Community Facilities Bylaw No. 1278, 2011 at its Regular Open meeting of Monday, April 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM. These bylaws will regulate the following:
Good Neighbour Bylaw No. 1277, 2011:
• Street Nuisances (panhandling)
• Property Maintenance (Including snow removal and sidewalk sweeping)
• Littering
• Health Regulations
• Firearms and Bows
• Explosives and Fireworks
• Noise Regulations
Parks and Community Facilities Regulations Bylaw No. 1278, 2011:
• Use of all Parks and Community Facilities
Council encourages the public to review these bylaws and if desired, to make representation to council at the April 4, 2011 meeting either in person or in writing. Those wishing to address council in person are asked to submit request to do so in writing prior to the meeting.
Written submissions can be mailed or hand delivered to the Town office or emailed to tosoyoos@osoyoos.ca (the Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda). The deadline for written submission is noon on March 30, 2011.
A copy of both these bylaws and accompanying staff reports can be viewed at the Town office between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday or on the Town of Osoyoos website.
