NOTICE Contractors & Building Designers BC Building Code Changes

Effective December 19, 2014, the following changes to the 2012 BC Building Code will be implemented:
  • Introduction of Section 9.36 Energy Efficiency
  • Changes to Section 9.32 Ventilation Requirements
  • Changes to Section 9.13.4 Soil Gas Control (Radon)
  • Changes to Section 3.1.2.8 and 3.3.2.16 Daycare Facilities that accommodate more than 8 children
Building Permit applications received after December 19, 2014 must comply with the new regulations.
