NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION OCP Amendment Bylaw 1230.28

Public Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 475 of the Local Government Act, a Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Sonora Community Centre located at 8505 68th Avenue.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review information related to the Official Community Plan (OCP) Amendment Bylaw No. 1230.28, 2020, which received first and second reading on September 21, 2020 at the Regular Council meeting.

The Bylaw proposes to amend the Official Community Plan (OCP) by allowing for a HR - High Density Residential designation.
The proposed amendment to the OCP Bylaw will allow for a rezoning proposal to proceed in order to accommodate a multi-family residential development (maximum 65 units) for the property located at 5601 Lakeshore Dr.
A copy of the proposed OCP and corresponding zoning bylaw amendments may be reviewed at www.osoyoos.ca or at the Department of Planning and Development Services office by appointment, located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS
- IF YOU ARE SICK OR EXPERIENCING FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THIS FACILITY.
- If you have any underlying medical conditions, it is recommended that you not visit our facility.
- If you have travelled outside Canada, you are not permitted on our premises until you have self-isolated for a minimum of 14 days.
- Physical distancing is required at all times (minimum of 2 meters).
- Failure to observe physical distancing risks the closure of the facility, and as such, you will be asked to leave the premises.
All visitors are not allowed to use the front entrance where the Okanagan Library is located.
You must enter the building using the east/back side of the building (parking lot door near the Osoyoos Elementary School Basketball Courts).
Visitors will be encouraged to wear masks in the hallway, wash/sanitize their hands before and after accessing the building and must follow physical distancing guidelines.
You will be required to complete a screening form and sign an informed consent when entering the Sonora Community Centre.
