Property Owner Tips
Street Lights
The Town of Osoyoos is responsible for maintaining street lights on metal poles, and FortisBC is responsible for maintaining street lights on wooden poles. To report outages, contact the Town Office at 250.495.6515.
Dirty Water
If your water becomes discolored or dirty during the water main flushing program, run your cold water tap for ten or fifteen minutes, and the water should flow clear.
Hardness in Water
Hardness level for the Town water source is an average of 15.65 Grains.
Sewer Backup
Try to determine where the blockage is. It is the homeowner's responsibility to clear any household or service blockage. If the problem still exits after contacting a plumber, contact Public Works, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:15 pm.
After Hour Emergencies call 250.498.7676.
Boulevards
Property owners are responsible for the maintenance of the boulevards adjoining their properties. The exception to this rule is that the Town Public Works staff prune boulevard trees as required.

Puncturevine
Landowners are encouraged to learn to identify puncturevine, and then understand how to control it. You can help by not providing an opportunity for invasive weeds to grow, by patrolling your property in the summer and controlling puncturevine when it’s discovered. It is an annual plant whose sharp spines can easily penetrate leather, skin, and can even puncture rubber tires.
