Public Hearing New Fire Hall on February 10, 2011
Public Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at 7:00pm in the Town of Osoyoos Council Chambers, located at 8707 Main Street to consider the following amendment bylaws:
The subject property effected by the bylaws is a portion of 9901- 74th Avenue, legally described as “Lot 560, District Lot 2450s, Plan 1949, SDYD Except Plans “B” 3664, 17282, 21474, and 34499”. The purpose of the following bylaws is to provide for a new fire hall and adjoining stub road right of way. For a location map click here.
1) Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1230.09, 2011, will extend the Urban Growth Boundary(UGB) around the property, and change the Land Use Designation from “AG – Agriculture” to “ID- Institutional”.
2) Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.84, 2011, will change the zoning designation from “AG – Agricultural” to “PI – Public and Private Institution”.
All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present written submissions on the matter above. Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to tosoyoos@osoyoos.ca (The Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda.) The deadline for written submissions is 12:00pm (Noon) Friday, February 4, 2011.
A copy of the amendment bylaws and accompanying documents may be inspected by clicking here or the Department of Planning and Development Services, located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00am to 4:00pm from Wednesday, January 26, 2011, to Thursday, February 10, 2011, excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

Council may consider holding a special open meeting directly following the public hearing for the purpose of giving bylaws 1230.09 and 1085.84 second and third readings.
