Notice of Public Hearing OCP and Zoning Housekeeping Bylaw Amendments - Oct 24
Bylaw No. 1230.18, 2016
• Clarify that duplexes are included under the Multi-Family Residential Development Permit Area (DPA); and
• Clarify that all industrial developments are included under the Industrial DPA.
Bylaw No. 1085.97, 2016
• Amend certain accessory building provisions in Sec. 4.4;
• Add new provisions that address solar energy devices;
• Amend the secondary dwelling unit floor area to align with BC Building Code regulations in Sec. 4.17;
• Reduce the number of required disability parking spaces in Sec. 6.8;
• Clarify that only existing single family or two family dwellings are permitted in the R6, R7, and R7A zones;
• Permit dwelling units above but not below the first storey of commercial uses in the C1, C2, C3, and C7 zones; and
• Address other minor issues, such as provisions that require clarification, out-of-date and missing information, and inconsistent
formatting and naming conventions.
All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and/or present written submissions on the matter above. Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to info@osoyoos.ca (The Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda). The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm (Noon) Friday, October 21, 2016.
Copies of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be reviewed by clicking on the links below or at the Planning and Development Services office, located at 8711 Main Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
