Recycle your Old Christmas Lights at the Osoyoos Bottle Depot

RDOS Information Release November 30, 2017
'Tis' The Season to Recycle Unwanted Christmas Lights'

Don’t chuck those old Christmas Lights in the garbage! A recycling program is available.

Christmas tree lights contain valuable recyclable metal wire. Year-round, you can recycle lamps, light strings, flashlights and any type of light bulb at the Osoyoos Bottle Depot

After recycling your old incandescent Christmas lights, replace them with new LED light strings. LED light strings last ten times longer, use up to 90% less power and reduce the risk of fire.

For more information on this recycling program, visit www.lightrecycle.ca.
