Snow Control Guidelines Now in Effect
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the South Okanagan. The Town of Osoyoos is anticipating significant snowfall over the next 24 hours.
Operations staff are working hard with limited resources to clear roadways, sidewalks and parking lots. You may notice increased heavy equipment activity throughout town in an effort to remove excess snow piles.
Please give extra time and room for staff to work safely.
Do your part by following a few simple tips for Snow Control this winter:
- Ensure snow removal equipment has clear access along your street.
- When snow is forecasted, please refrain from parking your vehicle on the road until streets have been cleared.
- Be patient when roads are being cleared.
- Use caution when snow removal equipment is on the road.
No person shall deposit snow, ice or other material removed from sidewalks, boulevards, lanes, or private property onto Town property or highways.
