Town's Age Friendly Consultation Process Begins May 28

In the process to become an Age Friendly Community, the Town of Osoyoos has retained Cardea Health Consulting to carry out a process to complete an Age-Friendly Assessment. During the week of May 28th, older adults, caregivers, stakeholders and community members can share their views via group consultations throughout the Town (e.g.  focus groups, one to one interviews). Focus groups are designed to bring people together in a participatory way.  Image result for survey button

Interested stakeholders can also complete a brief survey (for older adults and caregivers) posted at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/OsoyoosAF2018.

The following points may be useful:

  • The process only pertains to the services that the Town has a responsibility to provide. So, the Town cannot, for instance, build a new highway route or build new housing for older people. It can only contribute to planning for these things.
  • The Town is interested in everything that an interested stakeholder has to say, good and bad. In this regard, please encourage all older persons or caregivers to participate in the consultation process.

Any process queries or RSVPs to focus groups should be forwarded to:
